Sobre el libro

Treasure Island is an adventure and historical novel by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. Set in the 18th century, it tells a story of "buccaneers and buried gold" and is considered a coming-of-age story. The library currently holds the opening section, in which Jim describes an old seaman arriving at the "Admiral Benbow" inn; the book has notably shaped popular images of pirates, from treasure maps marked with an "X" to one-legged seamen with parrots.
