Sobre el libro

"Azaleas" is a lyric poem by Kim Sowol included in his 1925 collection of the same name, written in four stanzas of twelve lines. With a circular, beginning-and-ending structure, it depicts parting: the one left behind lays azaleas on the departing person's path, and restrained words deepen through repetition. It uses the traditional 7-5 meter and three-beat folk rhythm, and has been chosen as the poem Koreans love most.
